Oyo Deputy Speaker, 8 Lawmakers Defect To ADC
The deputy speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon Abdulwasi Musah on Tuesday officially defected from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to African Democratic Congress (ADC).
The lawmaker who made the announcement on the floor of the Assembly, decamped with eight other members of the Assembly.
The eight lawmakers also announced their defection to the ADC.
The lawmakers in a letter read by the Clerk of the House, Barrister Paul Bankole listed the defecting members to include; Hon Lukman Balogun of the Labour Party (LP),Hon Bolaji Badmus (APC), Hon Biliamin (Accord Party) and Hon Ganiyu Oseni (APC)
Others are Hon Olusegun Olaleye (APC), Hon Samson Oguntade (Accord Party), Hon Muideen Olagunju (Accord Party) and Hon Afeez Adeleke (APC).
Following the defection, the ADC now has 12 members. The majority party, APC, has 18 while the PDP has two.
