Oyetola’s Wife Presents Gift To First Baby Of The Year
Wife of Osun state Governor, Alhaja Kafayat Oyetola Tuesday presented gift items to the first baby of the year and other new born babies at the State Hospital, Asubiaro, Osogbo, Osun state capital.
The first lady who arrived the hospital in the early hours of the New Year day felicitated with the parent of the baby boy Mr and Mrs Oluwaferanmi Abass Olaide and urged them to take good care of the baby.
Oyetola admonished them to inculcate good cultural behaviour in their children for them to be a good ambassador of the state adding that it is a task that is mandatory for responsible parents.
She noted that the state government was making frantic efforts towards combating maternal mortality in the state.
The Osun First Lady reiterated the vision of the state government to give special attention to women and children in the state.
Mrs Oyetola who was accompanied by the state Supervisor for Health, Dr Rafiu Isamotu and other senior officials of the ministry of Health presented cash and other gift items to the 2019 first baby and other babies in the hospital.
In his response, the highly elated Mr Abbas Olaide expressed his appreciation to Mrs Oyetola and promised to take care of the baby and his siblings.
The baby of the year who weighed 3.1kg was delivered at 12:09am according to the matron of the hospital.
