Oyetola Emerges Flag Bearer Of Osun APC
The Chief of Staff to Governor Rauf Aregbesola, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola has been declared winner of the just concluded governorship primary election of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun state.
Announcing the result at the party secretariat in Osogbo, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege declared Oyetola the winner of the contest with a total votes of 127,017 which gave him the ticket to fly the flag at general election.
According to him, Adegboyega Oyetola poll 127,017 votes while the Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Hon Sulaimon Lasun Yusuff who came second poll 21,975 and the Speaker of the state House of Assembly Hon. Najeem Salam poll 17,958.
The slot which five aspirants contested after 11 had earlier pull out for through direct primary method was won by Oyetola from iragbiji in Boripe local government area of Osun Central Senatorial district.
Ovie Omo-Agege acknowledged the sportsmanship spirits that the aspirants displayed.
