No fewer than 5,000 Nigeria Football Supporters Club members will cheer Super Eagles to victory at the 2018 World Cup qualifier clash against Algeria on November 12.
Dr. Rafiu Ladipo, the President-General of the club, gave the figure in a telephone interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Thursday in Okitipupa, Ondo State.
NAN reports that the match will take place at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
Ladipo said that the match would be crucial, and should be given all seriousness, adding that Eagles would need adequate support to triumph.
He implored football-loving Nigerians to turnout en masse in green-white-green jerseys to rally support for Eagles.
Ladipo said: “Over 5,000 of our registered members will mobilise support for the Eagles because this match is a crucial one.”
He urged Eagles to deploy all tactical approaches and have team spirit to enable them to succeed.
NAN reports that Eagles defeated Chipolopolo of Zambia 2-1 in the first leg of the qualifier in Zambia while Algeria drew at home with Cameroon.
