Osun APC Celebrates Tinubu/Shettima At Inauguration
Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday trooped out in their numbers in all the nine federal constituencies of the state to celebrate the inauguration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Sen. kashim Shettima as President and Vice President of Nigeria respectively.
Speaking with journalists at Osogbo federal constituency celebration venue, a former Special Adviser, Youths and Sports, Adegboyega Adelabu noted that the emergence of Tinubu as the 16th president of Nigeria is significant because it marked the enthronement of a core progressive at the helms of affairs in Nigeria.
His words: “We are celebrating the emergence of All Progressives Congress (APC). You’ll agree with me that this is the first time a core progressive will be the president of this country. This calls for celebration. As progressives, we are celebrating the emergence of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the President of Nigeria.
“No one can doubt the ability and capability of Asiwaju when it comes to development. We have seen what he was able to achieve in Lagos State. He touched all the aspects of developmental projects in Lagos including security, education, health, we are sure that he will replicate this at the federal level”.
He appreciated the immediate past governor of the state, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola for giving them the opportunity and enabling environment to celebrate the new President.
“We appreciate our immediate past governor, Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola for granting us the opportunity to celebrate with Jagaban here in Osun. Those of us that cannot go to Abuja, we are celebrating here.
“This celebration is ongoing in all the nine federal constituencies in Osun State. As we are currently celebrating in Osogbo, this event is going on in the other federal constituencies like Ede, Iwo, Ikire, Ife, Ilesa, Ijebu-ijesa, Ila and Ikirun”.
“The people should be rest assured that we now have a progressive government in Nigeria and everything will go as planned for development”, Adelabu posited.
