Osun 2018: Adeleke Storms PDP Secretariat

The Senator representing Osun West Districts , Sen. Ademola Adeleke Wednesday declared his intention to fly the Peoples Democratic Party flag at the governorship election slated for 22nd of September 2018.

Adeleke who had earlier made his intention known in a letter written to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osogbo, said he would give priority attention to Agriculture, Education and also cushion the burden of most unemployed youths.

According to him, his late brother, Isiaka Adeleke had laid the foundation which is visible to all electorate and added that he would follow such steps when elected as a Governor.

Adeleke further called on all party faithful to respect party supremacy , adding that it would help in promoting peace and unity in the party.

He highlighted some of his achievements since he was elected to the red chamber which included award of scholarship to indigent students in his constituency, purchase of transformers to boost supply of electricity in some communities among others.

Responding, the chairman of PDP in Osun, Hon. Soji Adagunodo assured all gubernatorial aspirations of level playing ground in accordance with democratic principle PDP is known for.

According to him, if the party is unable to produce a conscientious candidate, it would conduct a transparent, free, fair, and credible gubernatorial primary in the state.

While describing Adeleke as a competent aspirant who can add value to PDP by virtue of his experience as a grassroot politicians who had made positive impact on the development of Osun state, Adagunodo implored him to go back to base and work assiduously for the victory of Osun at the poll.

He enjoined party members to close rank, work on the aggrieved members and team up to achieve Victory for the Peoples Democratic Party in the forthcoming election.
