Re-double Your Efforts, Commissioner Tasks Sanitation Officers
As part of his effort to make our environment clean and habitable, Osun State Commissioner for Environment and Sanitation, Hon. Mayowa Adejoorin has tasked sanitary Officers to re-double their efforts towards achieving a healthy environment.
Adejoorin who spoke at a meeting with sanitation officers across the state Friday warned that Governor Ademola Adeleke will not tolerate filthy environment in any part of the state.
The commissioner declared his plan to resuscitate the monthly sanitation to achieve the desired objective and directed the environmental officers to come up with a workable modalities to achieve the feat.
Adejoorin who maintained that prevention is better and cheaper than cure insisted that government cannot afford the outbreak of any form of diseases as a result of poor sanitation.
In his response on behalf of others, Sanitarian Kehinde Ola applauded the commissioner for deeming it fit to call for the meeting and assured him on his colleagues preparedness to give their best in making sure that our environment remains clean and safe.
He however urged the state government to create more dumping sites to accommodate disposed refuse across the state adding that there is the need to employ more sanitation officers to meet the required demand.
