Ooni, Fashola, Odeneye Storm Lagos For Ayo Ewebiyi’s Triple Celebration
Come Thursday, 23rd November, 2017, the Combo Hall of LTV8 will play host to one of its biggest visitors in recent times when the minister of Power, Works, and Housing, His Excellency, Babatunde Fashola, together with eminent personalities like Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ooni of Ife, Hon Kehinde Odeneye, Member, Federal House of Reps. Ijebu –Ode/ Odogbolu/Ijebu North-East Federal Constituency, Ogun State, Yeye Shakirat Dasola Kolawole, Otunba Adebowale Alexander, among others for talented poet, Ayo Ewebiyi’s triple celebration.
Under the chairmanship of Alhaji Prince Tajudeen Adetoro, the President, Lagos State Taxi Driver and Cab Operators Association, the glamorous event is already the talk of town as the who is who in the Yoruba community, who have one way or the other, contributed to the Yoruba culture will be present.
According to Ayo Ewebiyi, people like Erelu Mojisola Gani Adams, who has been of imminent help to the society and High Chief Fawenimo Ayinde Ajanaku (Ataba of Ojokoro, will all be honoured for their positive impact on society, irrespective of religious or tribal affiliation.
The occasion will be used to unveil ‘Ogo Yoruba Gbode’, a sneak preview of Ayo Ewebiyi’s new film titled ‘Osundagbonu’ and launching of a new album titled ‘Alaafin Akoko’ but according to Ayo, more focus will be on the unveiling of ‘Ogo Yoruba Gbode’.
“The ‘Ogo Yoruba Gb’ode’ is a Pan Yoruba socio-cultural event packaged by my humble self in conjunction with the department of Linguistics African and Asia Studies, to further promote the rich cultural heritage of the Yoruba nation to both at home and in the Diaspora.
“‘Ogo Yoruba Gbode’ aims to give recognition to, and celebrate the Yoruba sons and daughters who are doing Yoruba nation proud”.
Meanwhile, the Hon minister, Babatunde Fashola, will also speak on a theme titled ‘The Role of Youths in Nation Building’, with emphasis on culture.
