Ooni Endorses Charity Concert
Ooni of Ife His Imperial Majesty Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II has endorsed Getup Charity Concert a charity event where orphans are given the opportunity to showcase their talents and show appreciation to almighty God.
His Majesty made this known while receiving the organisers of the event Eluwole Elusiyan and his crew in his Palace Tuesday.
The project director Wole Elusiyan while presenting the project to Kabiyesi said the Getup Charity Concert Initiative was birthed 3 years ago during an event at Stephen Orphanage where he was invited to minister and having nurse a dream to reach out to orphans for a long time, he caught the vision of Getup Charity during this event.
“I saw a platform where children from different orphanage homes can be gathered together to be celebrated and appreciated. This was what turned out to be Getup Charity Concert, named after my musical band, Getup Crew.
This concert is held yearly with children from different orphanage homes gather not only to have a nice time but to be imparted with words of wisdom and encouragement. These children are also given a platform to display their talents and abilities in different areas. They present songs, dance, drama, poems and other creative works”
His Majesty later enjoined all to be part of this year’s edition of the concert on November 12th 2017 at Sanctuary of hope Church Ile-Ife. He said “Come and support these children. Let’s keep assuring them that they are loved and have bright future”
