Ojutu Bridge Project: Deputy Speaker Debunks Osun Govt Claim
Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Hon. Lasun Yussuff has debunked the claim by agents of Osun State government that the award of contract for the construction of bridge on Ojutu river located along Osogbo/Ilobu road was facilitated by Governor Rauf Aregbesola.
Addressing newsmen at his constituency office in Osogbo, the Special Adviser to the Deputy Speaker on constituency Relation Dr. Aderemi Ajala insisted that the project was facilitated by Hon. Lasun Yussuff.
Ajala who presented documents to back his claim exonerated governor Aregbesola from the claim but blamed Mr. Kolapo Alimi, a former commissioner and a cabinet member nominee, Kamil Oyedele and Engineer Nurudeen whom he described as sycophants as the people behind the claim.
According to him, the project is one of the capital projects attached to the Deputy Speaker’s office adding that the designing and construction was facilitated by Lasun Yussuff.
Ajala maintained that the constituency Relation Department of the Deputy Speaker was not interested in politicizing development saying that Yussuff is rather passionate on using politics as a major driver of development.
He gave assurance that the law maker representing Orolu/Irepodun/Osogbo/Olorunda federal constituency would expand his development interventions to cover the spectrum of Osun state.
