Ogun Tops National Productivity Merit Award List

‎Ogun State has, again, topped the Productivity Merit Award list, as a result of high priority placed on health sector by Senator Ibikunle Amosun-led administration.

The Merit Award, which was presented by President Mohammadu Buhari to Dr. Somade Taofeek, of the State’s Hospitals Management Board in Abuja, was said to have followed due process, where nominees were finally picked from the 36 States of the Federation, with Ogun State topping the list.

‎The Permanent Secretary, Hospitals Management Board, Dr. Adesanya Ayinde, commended the Awardee for his dedication and hard work, which he said had paved way for his selection as the most outstanding officer and urged other staffers of the board to redouble their efforts and commitments to efficient service delivery.

Dr. Ayinde, according to the Press Officer, Ogun State Hospital Management Board, Mrs. Busayo Malaolu, described the National Merit Award as a credit to the present administration’s passion in providing efficient health care service to its citizenry, since inception.

‎  Responding, the recipient of the award, who is the Head of General Hospital, Ifo, Dr. Somade Osuolale, appreciated the State government for the opportunity given him to serve the people, which qualified him for nomination and eventual conferment of the award.

While attributing the success to the team work exhibited by the workers at the hospital, he appreciated his subordinates for their supports, saying working as a team pays, especially in the public service.

‎“You need not be afraid of doing the right thing at the right time, if you are productive, people will listen to you and support what you are doing, which will ultimately help in achieving your goal’’, Somade said.

The recipient noted that the honour would spur him to do more, as ‘’reward for hard work is more work’’.
