Ogun Disburses N125m Loan To Civil Servants, Teachers

Ogun State government has released the sum of N125, 465, 000 as car and motorcycle refurbishing loan to 1,421 public servants including teachers between October 2017 and January 2018.

Dropping the hint in Abeokuta, through Press Officer, Ministry of Finance, Mr. Odunayo Ogunleye, the Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Adewale Oshinowo, stated that government had taken the step to boost the standard of its workforce towards spurring them for more productivity.

‘’This government is always seeking to make life comfortable for its workforce, even within its meagre resources notwithstanding its quest to continue rebuilding the State in its entirely towards achieving unparallel socio-economic development in the South West geo-political zone and the nation at large,’’ Oshinowo said.

The Finance Commissioner who said the Senator Ibikunle Amosun led administration has always prioritised the welfare of its workforce, indicated that government was consistent in making available N100,000 as car refurbishing loan and N40,000 as motorcycle refurbishing loan for its categories of workers.

He said out of the 1,421 beneficiaries, 1,343 were civil servants while 79 were teachers, adding that the scheme was a revolving loan.
