OAU Suspends Another Lecturer Over Sexual Molestation
Just as the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife and the general public await the outcome of the report of the investigative panel that was constituted to investigate alleged sexual harassment by a lecturer of the institution, another teacher of the University was Wednesday suspended over sexually molesting a 19 years old female student.
Ogunbodede while receiving the report had urged any student or member of the University Community to avail themselves of the opportunity of the open door policy of his administration to report any infringement on their rights by anybody to the appropriate organ of the University for possible investigation and redress.
However, less than three weeks after the Management of the institution expressed her zero-tolerance against the act by investigating Olabisi Olaleye, the axe of the University has fallen on another worker.
A release made available to newsmen in Osogbo yesterday by the Public Relations Officer of the University, Abiodun Olarewaju, stated that the University has also handed over the Tutor, Mr. Monday Omo – Etan, of the school of Distance Learning of the institution to the Police.
