NYSC Warns Corps Members Against Indolence
The Osun State Coordinator of National Youths Service Corps, (NYSC), Mr. Adegoke Adewale has warned Corps members against indolence and truancy or face the consequence if they turned deaf ear to the warning.
He called on the governor of the state, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola and other partners of the scheme to help in the rehabilitation of the camp facilities in the state.
He said due to the expansion in the scheme the orientation camp has become too small saying that most of the structures in the camp had been in place since inception and are now dilapidated.
Giving the details of the registered corps members, Adegoke said a total number of 2,350 comprising of 1,100 male and 1,250 female were registered for the batch.
Speaking, Governor Adegboyega Oyetola who was represented by the Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Hon. Lawal Olayemi charged the Corps Members to see their services as a responsibility and accountability and not sheer waste of time or as a time to partake in the national cake.
He admonished corps members to let go negative preconceptions and misconception which are capable of marring the fun of the three weeks Orientation course.
