NPA Partners Army Towards Effective Information Dissemination

The Managing Director Nigerian Ports Authority NPA Hadiza Bala-Usman has reiterated the need for all Heads of Government Agencies to harness all available potentials and resources at their disposal in information dissemination.

She said that manpower development and capacity building is in line with International best practices .

According to her, developed nations of the world have over the years  harnessed the vast human resources  and potentials in information sharing which has helped in their development .

She looked forward to Nigeria taking such steps as quickly as possible priotizing it in Nation building.

Hadiza made this statement when she led the top Management of the Organization in receiving the visiting team from the Nigerian Army School of Public Relations and Information led by its Commandant Brigadier General JA Agim at the Corporate Headquarters, Marina, Lagos.

She assured the gathering that the NPA Management would ensure that the long lasting relationship with the Nigerian Army and other Government Agencies have been most cordial over the years.

She highlighted having capacity building, training and information sharing as being key in driving a nation’s full potentials

She solicited for understanding concerning the present security challenges in the country, calling on all to be vigilant at all times.

Earlier in his address, Brigadier General JA Agim eulogized the synergy between his School and the NPA which was established in 2010. According to him, it began by the training of officials of the NPA and other Organizations in Corporate Nigeria in 2015.He expressed delight that this synergy has been most beneficial to both parties.

He said that the school most recently, was able to train Maritime Reporters on improved reportage and video recording including photography amongst others. This according to him has impacted positively in bridging the gap between the government agencies and the general public in the area of effective communication
