Niger Tornadoes will deliver continental ticket in 2016/2017 season – Coach

Abubakar Bala, the Coach of Niger Tornadoes FC of Minna, says the club will strive to secure a continental ticket at the end of 2016/2017 Nigeria Professional Football League season.
Bala made the assertion in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Tuesday in Minna after his unveiling as the new head coach of the team.
NAN reports that the club’s management confirmed Bala as head coach of the team on October 31.
The coach guided Tornadoes to 11th position with 49 points from 36 matches in the 2015/2016 NPFL season.
He took over from Abdullahi Biffo in the second round of the season.
Bala said that his appointment would enable him to work toward attaining a continental ticket for the club by the end of 2016/2017 NPFL.
Bala said: “I am happy with my confirmation as the head coach. I thank the management of the club and all the football fans that stood by me.
“We will not disappoint them as a team. My aim is to secure a continental ticket for Niger Tornadoes in the coming season.”
The head coach said that the coaching crew was already working toward perfecting good pattern of play before the commencement of the season in December.
