NDLEA Arrests 32 Drug Suspects In Gombe

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Gombe State command, has arrested 32 drug suspects with 39.908 kilogrammes of hard drugs and psychotropic substances in the first quarter of 2017.

Mr Aliyu Adole, the NDLEA State Commander in Gombe, made this disclosure to newsmen in Gombe on Monday.

Adole said the suspects were currently in prison custody.

“During this period, we arrested 32 suspects, who are currently in prison custody and we removed from circulation 39.908 kilogrammes of hard drugs,” he said.

NDLEA operative Adole said that NDLEA was making efforts in patrolling the rural and urban centres of the state in order to reduce the use of hard drugs in the state.

He advised the youth to understand that such drugs were dangerous to their health, as their systems would gradually have problem, if they continued to take them.

“Again, I want to advise parents to talk to their children to behave well, and not to abuse drugs; they should also monitor them by trying to know the character of their friends,” Adole said.
