Moji Olaiya’s Corpse Home Weekend

Barring any last minute hitches, the remains of Nollywood actress, Moji Olaiya who died few weeks back in Canada months after she gave birth to a baby girl, will be flown home this weekend.

One of the committee member saddle with the responsibility of organising a befitting burial for the mother of two told The Glitters Online that all preparations toward bringing her body back home have been concluded.

It would be recalled that former governor of Lagos and national leader of APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu agreed to foot the bill of bringing her corpse back to the country for burial.

The committee member who is also an actor disabused the mind of members of the public that Moji remains might have been buried in Canada.

“Nothing like her been buried in Canada, Moji was a Nigerian and she died as a Nigerian, the fact that she died in Canada does not mean she will be buried there.

‘When we have difficulties in raising the money to bring her corpse home Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu bail us out. Now we are in the final process of bringing her down here, which I believe will be done this weekend.”

He also spoke of plan the committee and her colleagues have put in place in giving her a proper burial once her body arrives.

“We plan to give her a memorable outing, whether we will have artiste night in a place I cannot say for now, but what I know is that we will give her a befitting burial.”

On May 28, most of her Muslim colleagues were at NASFAT, a Muslim group where the late actress was a member before her death to pray for the repose of her soul.

The Glitters Online recalled that Moji Olaiya joined the movie industry close to two decades ago. She died leaving behind an aged parents and 18 years old daughter Adunoluwa and the little baby
