Man, 65, Docked Over Alleged Assault
Kareem Olaposi, (65) was on Thursday docked at an Osun State Magistrates’ Court sitting in Modakeke over alleged assault.
The Prosecutor, Insp Ona Glory, told the court that the suspect committed the offence on June 6, 2018, around 1:00 pm at Okeyidi Area, Modakeke-Ife, in Ife Northeast local government area of Osun state.
Glory alleged that the accused assaulted one Jebes Olarewaju by beating him with iron rod thereby causing him bodily injuries.
He added that the offence contravened sections 351 and 355 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Osun, 2003.
The accused, however , pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge of assault and public fight, though he was not legally represented.
Magistrate A.O. Famuyide granted the bail of the accused in the sum of N250,000 with two sureties in like sum.
Famuyide stated further that the sureties must swear to affidavit of means, resides within the court jurisdiction as well as produce two recent passport photographs each as she adjourned the case until July 7,for hearing.
