Our correspondent learnt that the fire razed a three-storey building on Balogun Street of the Lagos Island, destroying properties worth millions of Naira.
It was further gathered that the incident affected the top most part of the building.
Confirming the incident, the state Director of Fire service, Mr. Rasak Fadipe said the incident occurred at 48 Balogun Street, saying no life was lost in the inferno.
According to Fadipe , residential part of the building was affected, adding that the agency deployed three fire trucks to the scene of the incident before the inferno was put under control.
He said, “No life was lost, it was the 3rd floor that gutted fire. We were alerted at about 11 am and we deployed three of trucks to the scene of the fire. It is now under control.”
