Kidnappers Of Taraba Lawmaker Demand N100m Ransom

The kidnappers of Taraba state House representing Takum, Hon. Hosea Ibi have open up discussions his family members and are asking for payment of a 100 million naira ransom for his release.

One of the family members who pleaded anonymity for security reasons revealed that the abductors open up discussions with the family through a phone call and demanded that the sum of 100 million naira be paid to them without the involvement of security agencies.

The source also reviewed that one of the family members was allowed to speak with Hosea Ibi to confirm that he was healthy in the hands of the kidnappers.

He further said that talks were still ongoing between the family members and the kidnapers.

“Yes, we are talking with them through Telephone, they demanded we should pay a sum of a 100 million naira, they assured us that our brother is healthy and we were allowed to speak with him to confirm that he is the one talking, we are still talking and also hoping he will be released to join his family soon”

The commissioner of police Taraba state command Mr. Dave Akiremi also confirmed that the kidnappers have opened up discussions with the family members of the Taraba kidnapped lawmaker.

Dave said the police in the state is also working closely to bring back the kidnapped lawmaker before or during this weekend.

He said his men were on the field also working hard to ensure that the kidnappers are arrested and brought to book.
