Kidnappers Hack Osun PS To Death
Osun State government has lost one of its Permanent Secretaries to an attack by kidnappers along Okene Abuja highway, where he was abducted while on official assignment to Abuja.
The state’s Head of Service, Mr. Sunday Olayinka Owoeye while announcing the death of the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Olufunke Oluwakemi Kolawole in Osogbo said that she was a victim of brutal attack by kidnappers.
Olayinka noted that until her death, Mrs. Kolawole was the Permanent Secretary, Bureau of General Services, Office of the Governor, Osun State.
The Head of Service described the sudden death of Mrs. Kolawole as painful, noting that the death came as a rude shock to the state government.
His words: “On behalf of the Forum of Head of Service and Permanent Secretaries, Tutors-General, Accountant-General, Auditors-General and Surveyor-General, and with a deep sense of loss, I hereby painfully announce the untimely death of Mrs. Olufunke Oluwakemi Kolawole who was brutally attacked by kidnappers while travelling along Okene – Abuja highway on her way to Abuja on Thursday, 12th July, 2017 for an official assignment.
“The Forum commiserates with the family of the deceased, the entire public service and the State Government of Osun on this irreparable loss. Details of the burial programme shall be released as soon as they are announced by her family.”
