Jigawa Police Arrest Two Wanted Robbery Suspects In Kano
Operatives of the Jigawa State Police Command have arrested two suspected armed robbers on the command’s wanted list.
He said the two suspects were trailed and subsequently arrested on December 12, 2023, in Kano State.
He identified the suspects as Yusuf Yusuf, 25, of Katoge quarters, Kazaure Local Government Area and Umar Abubakar, 23, from Dakayyawa village, Kaugama LGA.
He said, “On July 19, 2023, at about 0230hrs, a distress call was received at Dutse Division that hoodlums with weapons, numbering about five, trespassed into the house of one Sunusi Hudu ‘m’ of G9 quarters Dutse LGA, beat him up and robbed him of one Honda Accord 2011 model black in colour, two plasma televisions, one HP Laptop computer and one Redmi Note 11pro phone.
“Fortunately, on October 18, 2023, following a tip-off by the investigative team of State Criminal Investigation Department, Dutse, one Umar Abubakar ‘m’ age 28yrs of Bompai Miller Road, Kano state, Yakubu Mohammed ‘m’ age 24yrs, and Zakariyya Dahiru ‘m’ age 28yrs both of Yalleman town of Kaugama LGA, were arrested in connection with the offence.
“On interrogation, the suspects confessed to the commission.
The police spokesman noted that all the suspects arrested will be arraigned in court after a discreet investigation at the State Criminal Investigation Department, Dutse.
