Insecurity: Businesses Will Thrive In Imo Again Under My Watch, Says CP
Commissioner of Police, Imo State Command, CP Aboki Danjuma has reiterated his commitment to guarantee conducive environment that would encourage businesses to thrive in the state.
CP Danjuma, represented by ACP Michael Abattam, Area Commander, Owerri Urban, stated this at the official opening of Thirsti Premium Water, at Naza Industrial Cluster, Owerri West, LGA.
The Imo Police boss described as unfortunate the security challenge which has bedeviled the state in the recent past, hence affected socio-economic activities of the State, stressing that with adequate security, “every thing will return to normal again”.
He also solicited continued public support and cooperation in his determined effort to rid the state of crimes and criminality, adding that his administration will usher in a new narrative in security of the state.
He applauded the Chief Executive Officer of the new water company, Mr. Jasper Chukwuocha for his initiative to establish such business venture in the state, while promising him Command’s support.
He said, “I can assure Imo people that by the grace of God, insecurity will be thing of the past in the state. We will not rest on our ores until Imo people can sleep with their two eyes closed.
“Also, during this festive season, we will ensure that Hotels and other business ventures in the state are secured.
“It is part of my targets to provide a conducive environment for businesses to thrive as well as ensure adequate security in the State.”
Speaking earlier, Mr. Chukwuocha, a South African based industrialist said the establishment of the water company was borne out of his passion to complement effort to tackle unemployment, provide good drinking water as well as encourage economic growth of the state.
He stated that the new water, produced at international standard, would compete with existing ones in the market to meet the desired need of the people within the state and beyond.
The Ihitte Uboma born renowned philanthropist and business mogul who is also the CEO of De Glen Hotels, Naza Industrial Cluster, Owerri West, LGA and Chukx Motors, South Africa, said that company targets to employee 120 staff and to produce ten thousand bottles daily for public consumption.
He finally appreciated the people of Umuokoto and Naza communities for their ceaseless support and encouragement to his businesses in the area and promised to continually partner with them for more development of the area.
