Haaland Celebrates 300th Club Goal After Coventry Win
Erling Haaland celebrated his 300th club goal on Saturday after scoring the winner as Manchester City defeated Coventry City 1-0 to maintain their perfect start to the Premier League season.
The 26-years-old Norwegian striker marked the landmark on X on Saturday after reaching another extraordinary milestone in a career that has seen him score at a remarkable rate since making his senior debut.
Haaland reached 300 club goals with his 165th strike for Manchester City, having scored 20 for Molde, 29 for Red Bull Salzburg and 86 for Borussia Dortmund.
His latest effort came in the 26th minute at the Etihad Stadium when he headed home a cross from Antoine Semenyo, who had been found by Enzo Fernandez on his Manchester City debut.
The goal proved decisive as City held on for their third league victory of the season.
For Haaland, it was another landmark in a career that has moved at remarkable speed.
The 26-year-old has now scored 300 goals in senior club football, with his 165 goals for City coming in just 202 appearances.
City have celebrated several of his previous milestones as his goalscoring record has continued to accelerate.
In September 2024, Haaland became the 19th player in Manchester City’s history to score 100 goals for the club, reaching the mark in only his 105th appearance. City noted at the time that his century came with a goal against Arsenal in a 2-2 Premier League draw.
He then reached another major landmark in February 2025, when his goal against Arsenal took his senior club tally to 250 goals in 313 appearances. Manchester City noted that he had reached the figure faster than several of the most prolific forwards of the 21st century, including Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Kylian Mbappe.
At that stage, Haaland had 115 goals for City, 86 for Dortmund, 29 for Salzburg and 20 for Molde.
The latest milestone means he has added another 50 club goals since reaching 250, continuing a scoring trajectory that has made him one of the most prolific forwards of his generation.
His City record has been particularly remarkable.
He scored 52 goals in his first season at the club in 2022/23, including a record 36 in the Premier League, before following that with 38 goals in all competitions in 2023/24 and 34 in 2024/25. City said he finished the 2025/26 season with 38 goals in 52 appearances.
Haaland’s 300th club goal therefore completes another remarkable chapter in a career that began with Bryne in Norway before taking him to Molde, Salzburg, Dortmund and eventually Manchester City.
And with 165 goals already in 202 City appearances, his latest landmark is unlikely to be his last.
