Gunmen Kidnap Two In Abuja Community Midnight Raid
No fewer than two persons have been kidnapped in the Mpape area of the Federal Capital Territory.
A resident of the area, who identified himself as Yakubu said that the gunmen were about six.
“Around 1am today (Sunday), gunmen numbering six came to our area, shot indiscriminately while the operation lasted, and kidnapped two people,” Yakubu said.
The Police Public Relations Officer, FCT Command, SP Josephine Adeh, also confirmed the incident to our correspondent.
She, however, claimed that the victims had been rescued by the police and would be reunited with their loved ones.
She said efforts were ongoing to arrest the suspects.
