Gunmen Shot Dead Policeman, Abduct 3 Chinese In Osun
No fewer than three Chinese working at the mining site located at Itagunmodi community in Osun state have been abducted by unknown gunmen.
The expatriates who were carrying out their duties at the mining site were rounded up by the kidnappers and whisked away at gun point.
The state Commissioner of police Mrs Abiodun Ige who confirmed the incident to newsmen said the police is on the trail of the kidnappers and making frantic efforts to recover the abducted people and bring the kidnappers to justice.
A security official in the state who spoke on condition of anonymity however said that one other expatriates who attempted to escape during the exercise was shot by the kidnappers and presently receiving treatment at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Complex (OAUTH) Ile-Ife.
