625

The Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere, has described Governor Rochas Okorocha’s wife, Ugo Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha, as a heroine of charity.
The Deputy Governor made this remark through the State’s Head of Service, Sir Calistus Ekenze, who represented him during the hand-over ceremony of a two bedroom tastefully furnished apartment to an indigent widow, Lady Agnes Offoregbu, by Lady Okorocha at Idume-Ogwa autonomous community in Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State.
He reminded the people that charity is the essence of life, saying it has remained the watch word of Imo State First Family.
He added that doing all it takes, however difficult, to put smiles on the faces of the downtrodden is one of the most important agenda of Rescue Mission Administration of Owelle Rochas Okorocha.
He described the achievement of Lady Okorocha as unequalled, having built about 200 two-bedroom apartments for indigent widows.
Madumere noted that it has been five years since the government under Owelle Rochas Okorocha made education free.
He stated that free education has saved many families in Imo State from the Herculean task of paying school fees.
He therefore called on the good people of Imo State to appreciate the effort of the Rescue Mission Government led by Owelle Rochas Okorocha towards ameliorating the sufferings of the people.
