GOtv Boxing Night 12: 50 Fans To Win GOtv Decoders

A total of 50 GOtv decoders are up for grabs at GOtv Boxing Night 12, which holds on Sunday, October 1, at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium, Lagos. The decoders will be won by fans at the event through random draws to be held between bouts.

According to Flykite Promotions, organisers of the event, the decoder give-away is to show appreciation to fans, who are the lifeblood of the sport.

In addition to the decoders, the first 100 fans to arrive at the venue of the event will get a variety of gift items.

 GOtv Boxing Night 12 will feature seven professional bouts, with headline bout being the African Boxing Union welterweight title clash between the reigning champion, Nigeria’s Stanley “Edo Boy” Eribo and Ramadhani Shauri of Tanzania.

Nigeria’s Oto “Joe Boy” Joseph will seek to make history by becoming the first winner of the Commonwealth Africa lightweight title when he takes on Israel Forget Kammwamba of Malawi.

Another title fight will see Nigeria’s Olaide “Fijaborn” Fijabi defend his West African Boxing Union light welterweight title when he faces Ghana’s Ben “Congo Man” Ankrah. The fourth international fight will feature Waidi “Skoro” Usman against Juma Fundi of Tanzania in an international featherweight challenge contest.

Other bouts scheduled include a national lightweight challenge duel between Rilwan “Real One” Oladosu and Samuel “Omo Daddy” Opaogun; boxing prodigy, Rilwan “Baby Face” Babatunde, will fight Tombraye “Tornado” Christmas in the light welterweight category, while Kabiru “KB Godson” Towolawi will duel with Akeem “AK” Adebayo in a national light heavyweight challenge.

The boxers are in line to earn a total of N20million in prize monies. The winner of the Mojisola Ogunsanya Memorial Award for the best boxer will go home with N2.5million. The two runners-up will win N1million and N500,000 respectively.
