Girls’ Brigade Names Rev. Mother Ajayi As Grand Matron
The Girls’ Brigade held a colourful and inspiring parade on August 23, 2026 at the Love of Christ Generation Church, Victoria Island, Lagos, where Rev. Mother Abimbola Esther Ajayi was officially installed as the Grand Matron of the Girls’ Brigade.
The ceremony brought together members of the Brigade, church leaders, and distinguished guests in an atmosphere of celebration, discipline, and recognition of dedicated service to God and the church.
A key highlight of the ceremony was the formal presentation of the Grand Matron title to Rev. Mother Abimbola Esther Ajayi.
This acknowledged her unwavering commitment to the work of God and her support for the growth of the Girls’ Brigade.
The General Secretary of the Unification Church, Senior Prophet Tayo Ajose, graced the occasion, further underscoring its significance.
In addition, Ajose was honoured as the Grand Patron of the Girls’ Brigade, a gesture of appreciation for his steadfast support and encouragement of the organisation’s mission.
Speaking at the event, Ajose expressed gratitude for the recognition bestowed on Rev. Mother Ajayi.
He noted that the Cherubim and Seraphim Church is proud of the Girls’ Brigade for identifying and honouring her continuous dedication to the things of God.
He said: “The Cherubim and Seraphim Church is proud of the Girls’ Brigade for recognising Rev. Mother Abimbola Esther Ajayi’s continuous dedication to the things of God.
“This appreciation and recognition award is very important and special.”
In her acceptance remarks, Ajayi expressed heartfelt appreciation for the honour.
She said: “I am deeply honoured to be entrusted with this role as Grand Matron of the Girls’ Brigade.
“This recognition is not just for me, but for the work of God that continues to inspire and guide us all.
“The Girls’ Brigade represents discipline, faith, and service, and I am committed to supporting these young women as they grow into leaders who will shine the light of Christ in every sphere of life.
