Christmas: Ebonyi Fetes Widows, Senior Citizens

Ebonyi state government has organized a Christmas party for over 4300 widows and 400 elders in the state
The event which took place at Pa Ngele Oruta stadium had in attendance over 4300 widows and about 400 elderly people.
Speaking on behalf of her husband, the wife of Ebonyi State governor, Chief Mrs Rachel Umahi said the government has regularly organized special parties for the elderly and widows because of the great value it has for them.
Mrs Umahi said the prayers of the widows are effective and have been a blessing to this government.
The commissioner for local government, Barr Sam Okoronkwo and SSA Welfare Rev. Fr. Abraham Nwali commended the state governor for his steadfast love to Ebonyi widows and the elders.
The event was attended by the wife of the deputy governor, Mrs Ethel Nnanna Igwe, wife of the speaker EBHA Mrs Uzoamaka Nwifuru, Deputy Speaker, Wife of the Chief judge,zero Chief Mrs Lilian Nwankwo, Hondefa Obasi Odefa, Exco members and spouses among other dignitaries.
