Ex-minister, Rasheed Gbadamosi, is dead

A former Minister of National Planning, Chief Rasheed Gbadamosi, is dead.
Gbadamosi, who was a leading industrialist, art collector and writer, died on Wednesday at the age of 72.
The Lagos State Commissioner for Information, Steve Ayorinde, confirmed Gbadamosi’s death.
Ayorinde said: “The Lagos State Government mourns the passing of a leading industrialist, art patron, former minister and co-chairman of the Lagos@50, Chief Rasheed Gbadamosi.
“Chief Gbadamosi will be remembered for being a true Lagosian, a nationalist and an art aficionado.”
His remains would be interred on Thursday.
Gbadamosi was Chairman at AIIco Pension Managers Limited, Chairman at BHN Plc, Chairman at Lucky Fibres (Nigeria) Plc, Chairman at Ragolis Waters Limited, Chairman at Secure Electronic Technology Plc, Chairman at Sparnoon Nigeria Limited, Chairman at Syndicated Metal Industries Limited and a Managing Director at R.A.G & Company Limited.
He was on the Board of Directors at Cappa & D’Alberto Plc, Premium Health Limited and The Musical Society of Nigeria.
Gbadamosi was previously employed as Chairman by Bank of Industry and Chairman by Vono Products Plc.
He also served on the board at Aiico Insurance Plc.
He received his undergraduate degree from The University of Manchester and a graduate degree from the University of New Hampshire.
