Engage Your Husband In Pillow Talks To Tackle Insecurity, Obasanjo Tells Aisha Buhari
Former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo on Monday called on the First Lady, Hajiya Aisha Buhari to engage her husband, President Muhammadu Buhari on pillow talk over the disturbing security challenges ravaging the country.
The former president made the call Monday in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital while playing host to a team of social medial professional who paid him a courtesy visit at his residence within the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital.
Obviously reacting to Hajiya Aisha Buhari’s call on Nigeria’s security agencies under the watch of her husband, President Buhari to quickly end banditry and other insecurity challenges across the country, Obasanjo commended Mrs. Buhari for speaking out the truth, emphasizing that adopting the bedroom approach to get her husband’s attention to genuinely addressing the issues may remain the best option.
Suspecting that Mrs. Aisha Buhari may not have adopted, “the other room” approach, Obasanjo recommended more advocacy and sensitization to get the desired change in the Mr. President and the country.
Obasanjo said the advocacy would raise awareness, “and we have to put all things on table to address these problems. Mind you, we have to be sincere and genuine with ourselves.
“It is nice that President wife is talking, I think she did well and maybe she should also have a pillow talk with the President’
“I believe every Nigerian family, individual, group is entitled to livelihood. It is the responsibility of all to make sure we have a dignify life. That should be our aim collectively,” he said.
Earlier, the Chairman, Editorial Board of social media and an online tabloid, Pen-pushing Media, Mrs Funke Fadugba said the visit was to intimate the former president with the program of events for the 3rd anniversary lecture of the organization scheduled to hold July 19.
She said that the anniversary lecture with the theme “Political Evolution and Multi-party Democracy: Education to the Rescue” has become imperative in view of the developments in the country.
Fadugba said the role of speaking truth to power by Obasanjo cannot be overemphasized, “and, with the statements by the First Lady, Mrs Aisha Buhari, these are commendable efforts, but, one wonders what is really happening.’’
