By Joyce Onuora Abakaliki
Onyekachi Elechi,  son of his predecessor,  Chief Martin Elechi and
described the death as devastating.
Umahi in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Emmanuel
Uzor described Onyekachi’s death as tragic,  devastating and
hearthbreaking and condoled with former Governor Elechi’s family over
the loss.
He said though death has been accepted as a necessary end,
Onyekachi’s death at the prime of his life was most painful and great
loss to his family and by extension,  Ebonyi State and prayed God to
console his family and grant his soul eternal rest.
“It is most painful to accept this reality of the nothingness of
beingness and to accept the glaring reality that your son,  Onyekachi
is dead. To you, he was a son but to us, he was a teacher,  a young
man who rose to top of his career and remained dedicated to his duties
as well discharged his functions as a teacher and a father creditably.
It is therefore at this juncture that I most sincerely convey my
deepest condolences to you and your entire family on behalf of the
patriotic citizens of Ebonyi State “
“It is therefore my earnest prayer that he wil find rest in God’s
bosom while I urge you and your entire family to bear the trauma
caused by his untimely demise with utmost courage, bearing in mind
that his stay on earth was memorable and sourjourn to eternity
glorious”
Governor Umahi further called on the children of the deceased to
emulate the good vitures of their father and immortalize him by
upholding same.
