El Clasico Friendly: Barcelona Thrash Real Madrid 3-0

FC Barcelona put up a brilliant display at the AT&T stadium as they beat domestic rival, Real Madrid by a 3-0 scoreline.

The two Spanish heavyweights locked horns in the pre-season friendly match which witnessed strategic game plans from managers of both teams.

Barcelona, who secured the La Liga title last season with a 10-point gap ahead of their rivals, got the lead in the 15th minute, courtesy of Ousmane Dembele after an assist from Pedro.

Real Madrid lost a penalty chance after Vinicius Jr struck the ball against the crossbar, sending Barcelona’s Ter Stergen the wrong way.

The match tempo kept building, as highlighted in the 33rd-minute mark when Brazilian, Rodrygo played a superb free kick that left Ter Stergen to tip the back off the top right corner of the post.

The White Angels were able to keep possession of the ball in a much-contested El Clasico match, at 53 per cent against Barcelona’s 47 per cent.

Madrid featured French players, Camavinga and Tchouamen, and Valverde.
