Ekiti Ministry Of Health Honours Erelu Fayemi At 58
The Ekiti State Ministry of Health and Human Services has organized a Day Clinical Consultation and Cardiovascular Risk Counselling programme for the Staff of the office of the Wife of the State Governor, Erelu Bisi Fayemi to Mark her 58th Birthday.
The State Commissioner for Health and Human Services Dr. Oyebanji Filani stated that the programme was organized for the staff working with the First  Lady as a Mark of honor and regards they have for the celebrant as well as appreciating her efforts at ensuring that Ekiti residents enjoy quality healthcare service delivery at all time.
Dr. Filani who was represented at the event by the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Health and Human Services, Mr Akinjide Akinleye mni disclosed that blood sugar and blood pressure levels , metabolic risk screening as well as Clinical Consultations and Cardiovascular risk counseling were carried out for the staff working with the First Lady free of charge.
He advised the staff of the office of Her Excellency and Ekiti residents to take their health very seriously while charging them to engage in medical check-ups regularly.
While extolling the
First Lady’s virtue, the Health Commissioner noted that Erelu Fayemi has touched many lives positively with her big heart, beautiful mind and generous spirit.
Dr Olusanya Adetoye, a Team Lead of the exercise from the Ministry of Health said that the medical campaign would help the beneficiaries to know their health status and challenges having done basic medical check and proffered needed advice.
Dr Adetoye said that the regular medical check-up reduces cases of hypertension, stroke and untimely death in the society.
Mrs Tolu Ogundana one of the beneficiaries of the gesture lauded the Ministry for the efforts stressing that it was timely, appropriate and welcoming.
She explained that the exercise would go a long way in helping their health conditions.
