Eld-el-fitr: Commissioner Doles Out Gift Item For Muslims
The Commissioner for health and Human Services Dr Oyebanji Filani had donated food stuff to the Muslim Faithful in the Ministry in the spirit of Eld- el- fitri celebration.
Dr. Filani expressed that the gesture was to appreciate their contributions to the development of the Ministry and boost their morale to enhance better service delivery. He noted that every staff of the Ministry was important to achieving its goals of quality health care delivery to Ekiti residents .
The commissioner congratulated all Muslim faithful on the occasion of this year Eld-il- fitri celebration and called on all Nigerians to use this period to pray for peace, harmony, stability and progress in Nigeria.
“Wherever we find ourselves either you’re a Muslim, Christian or any religion you practice, let us all continue to work and pray for a united, peaceful and prosperous Nigeria”. He charged
He urged adherents of the Islamic religion and all Nigerians to continue to embrace the spirit of love, kindness and tolerance which he said were the core teachings of Holy Prophet Mohammed (SAW).
The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry Mr Akinjide Akinleye, called on Nigerians to see themselves as one regardless of religious inclination, ethnic group or languages. He noted that religion should unite us rather than divide us.
Mr Akinleye joined the commissioner to wish all the Muslims a happy and peaceful Eld-el-fitri celebration.
