By Joyce Onuora Abakaliki
The Head of Service, Dr. Chamberlin Nwele announced this in Abakaliki, the state capital while briefing
journalists on the outcome of State Executive Council meeting.
He noted “That the council  directed that due process should be followed to ensure that adequate disciplinary actions were taken against all civil servants working in the company, while all ad-hoc
workers have been relieved of their jobs forthwith.
“This is the second time vandalisation is taking place in that place and the government spent a lot to replace the items that were removed.
The Commissioner for Agriculture, Chief Ogodo Ali Nome and Senior Special Adviser to Governor Dave Umahi on Internal security, Dr. Kenneth Ugbala regretted that the government had spent huge amount of
money to replace the machines in the company which were previously vandalized before the present incident.
Ugbala said: “On the position of our pipeline production company in Ebonyi state that was cannibalized. It was deliberated by the council and recalled that on 26th June, 2018 the council received security
information that the pipeline machines generating electricity to the company was vandalized. The men that were on duty that day were from the Nigeria Police Force.
“It is incredible that the men will be on duty while the machines were cannibalized.”
The council deliberated on it today and gave the directive that the Nigeria police should immediately prosecute the police personnel that were on duty the day these machines were cannibalized.
