Don Raises Alarm Over Threat To Life In Osun
For alleged threat to his life, a senior lecturer at Fountain University, Osogbo, Dr Isaac Fadeyibi, has petitioned the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone XI, Osogbo.
Besides, Fadeyibi added in the petition made available to our correspondent that his house had also suffered violent attacks from the men of the underworld three times with thousands of money stolen and properties worth over N500,000 carted away.
According to him, on 14th February, 2014, some people believed to be armed robbers, attacked his house at Adedapo Estate, Halleluyah Area, Osogbo and carted away properties worth N500,000 adding that valuables were stolen on the two other occasions that took place on 16th September 2015 and 9th October, 2017,
The university lecturer, who said a more dangerous dimension to the violent attack on him and his family occurred in February, 2018 when he started receiving letters from an unknown group, warning of threat to his life and those of his family members.
“The letter I guess was slipped through the louvers window into my office. I never took it serious because it came just four weeks after the completion of my PhD degree programme. There was second letter.
“The third letter was found at my residence’s gate on the 21st March, 2019. Prior to the release of the last letter, I received several threat calls with hidden unknown number  is now a source of worry to my life and family members,” Fadeyibi concluded.
A top security source in Zone XI Command, who pleaded anonymity, said the petition is already receiving attention.
