Deputy Speaker, House of Reps, Lauds Aregbesola’s Achievements
The Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Hon. Lasun Sulaimon Yussuff, Thursday lauded the achievement of Governor Rauf Aregbesola in Osun state and pledged to improve on his legacy.
He made the commendation at the All Progressives Congress APC secretariat in Osogbo while declaring his intention to vie for Sept. 22 governorship election in the state.
Yusuff who specially acknowledged the school built by the Aregbesola’s administration and the Osun Youth Empowerment Scheme O’YES to sustain them and improve upon them.
He said there was no negative sign that he would not perform creditably well if given the opportunity to govern the state adding that he is the man for the job.
The deputy speaker who noted that he had been one of the loyal party members, said that people of the state were waiting for him to govern the state.
Yussuff also said that he would engage in man power training in the education sector, embark on agriculture revolution and improve on the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) in the state.
Welcoming the aspirant to the party secretariat, Mr Gboyega Famodun, the state party chairman, said there was no doubt that the aspirant have the political exposure and experience to rule the state.
He admonished the aspirant to play his politics at the level of his people adding that the party was aware of the contribution of the Speaker to the party.
“If it is the will of God for you to be the governor, so be it, but one thing that is sure is that it is only one person that will pick the party’s ticket for the election,’’ Famodun said.
