Cultism : Fayose Bans Students’ Procession In Ekiti

Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose yesterday banned all students’ public activities and processions in the State.
This followed the information available to the state government that some suspected cultists always embark on public procession on July 7, every year and such was likely to hold on Friday (today).
This was contained in a statement by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka and made available to journalists in Ado Ekiti, the state capital on Thursday.
According to the statement, security operatives are to also be on red alert in Ijero Ekiti, Oye Ekiti and other towns with high students’ population. They are to conduct stop and search on vehicles within the State.
“There must be no activity of secret cults in Ekiti State henceforth and there must not be students’ procession of any form.

“Anyone found culpable in this act of using cultists to cause anarchy in the State will be dealt with decisively.”

The directive, according to him should be adhered to strictly.
