Buhari Is Committed To Turning Nigeria Into A Medical Tourist Destination —Emerhor

The Chairman, Management Board of the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, UITH, and leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Delta State, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, says President Muhammad Buhari is committed to turning Nigeria into a medical tourist destination.

Emerhor also stated that the board is committed to the President in ensuring that UITH is transformed into a first class hospital capable of competing with other health facilities across the world.

Speaking during a courtesy visit to Kwara State governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, Emerhor noted that the commitment of the board is anchored on the vision of Buhari towards transforming medical institutions in the country.

Applauding the governor on his achievements, the Chairman told him that the board needed his support as a critical stakeholder of the hospital.

Responding, Ahmed congratulated Emerhor on his appointment and prayed that he will bring his rich private sector experience to bear in his assignment.

Emerhor, accompanied by the Acting Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Prof. Yinka Buhari, and other board members, had earlier paid a courtesy visit to the Emir of Ilorin and the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin.
