Bisi Akande’s Wife For Burial Thursday

The remains of Mrs. Omowumi Akande, the wife of the first Interim National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Adebisi Akande will be buried Thursday.
A statement issued by the Akande’s family on  Wednesday said Mrs. Akande, aged 73, who died at a private hospital in Ibadan after a brief illness will be buried at Ila Orangun,  country home of her husband.
According to the statement signed by Mr. Femi Akande, “The families of Chief Bisi Akande, the Asiwaju of Ila Orangun announces the passing to glory of our matriarch, Chief (Mrs) Omowunmi Akande.
“Our mother slept in the Lord at 4:30pm on Tuesday 11th July 2017. Aged 73 years, she will be buried at 10am tomorrow, 13th July 2017 at Ila Orangun, country home of Chief Bisi Akande. May her soul rest in peace, Amen.”
Meanwhile, the Osun State Government has expressed its condolence on the death of the late matriarch.
A press statement by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr Adelani Baderinwa said the news of Mrs Akande’s death was shocking and sudden.
He described Mrs Akande as hardworking, a true and quintessential mother, an enterprising woman, a loving wife and caring person.
Also, the Speaker, Osun  State House of Assembly, Hon. Nojeem Salaam described  Mrs Akande as a role model worthy of emulation.

Salaam, in a statement  by his Press Secretary, Mr. Goke Butika condoled the family, particularly, the husband, Chief Bisi Akande.
