BBN: Soma, Miyonse Return, As Eviction Axe Dangles Over Five Housemates
Soma and Miyonse, the first set of housemates to be evicted in the ongoing Big Brother Nigeria are back in the country. The two ex-housemates, who were known to be lover boys in the house, were evicted last Sunday after being up for eviction alongside current head of house, Efe.
The ex-housemates, who made a stop at Nigerian Breweries Headquarters in Lagos, stated that, though they are disappointed about being the first evictees from the house, they are excited about what the future being in the show holds for them.
Meanwhile, after a dramatic eviction process on Sunday, Bisola, Bassey, Cocoice, Debie-rise and ThinTallTony are up for eviction this week and it’s anybody’s guess who will go home come Sunday. However, ThinTallTony was lucky to be saved by the Head of House Efe, who swapped him with Gifty. Both Miyonse and Soma said they would give all the support they can to those housemates, who are up for eviction this week.
The nomination show on Monday saw Bally nominate Bisola and ThintallTony, Debie-rise nominated Marvis and Bisola, Kemen Nominated Bisola and ThintallTony, Cocoice nominated ThintallTony and Bassey, while Tboss nominated Marvis and Bassey.
Bassey on his part nominated Cocoice and Kemen, Uriel nominated Cocoice and ThintallTony, Gifty nominated Cocoice and Bassey, Efe nominated TBoss and Cocoice, ThintallTony nominated Debie-Rise and Gifty, Marvis nominated Cocoice and Debie-rise, while Bisola nominated Debie-rise and Cocoice.
Winner of the Big Brother Naija takes it all; he or she will walk away with a whopping prize money of 25 million Naira and a brand new KIA Sorento car.
According to John Ugbe, Managing Director, MultiChoice Nigeria, the return of the show is one of the ways the company is enhancing the quality and variety of content available on its platforms, assuring that the show has been well developed, following the successes of past seasons of Big Brother Africa.
“Big Brother Africa was popular for its entertainment value and ability to showcase ordinary Africans from different walks of life. We decided to re-invent the reality show once again by bringing back the Nigerian version, which we are confident will draw pan-African audiences for the same reasons that Big Brother Africa did,” Ugbe explained.
