Bauchi Discharges Another COVID-19 Patient

Another patient of COVID-19 has been discharged after treatment in Bauchi State in addition to four previously discharged patients out of the six index cases.

A statement by Special Adviser to Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed on new media, Lawal Muazu on Saturday, quoted the governor thanking the health personnel and the state task force on COVID19 for their unrelenting efforts in tackling the spread of the disease.

According to Mu’azu, Bala Mohammed urged all indigenes and residents of the state to continue to work with the state government to complement the efforts of government in containing the virus in the state.

“Today, one of the remaining two COVID19 patients at our isolation centre received a second negative result from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC). He has gotten the green-light and has been discharged,” Mu’azu said.

“I urge all indigenes and residents of the state to adhere strictly to the protocols of practising and social distancing, personal hygiene and reporting suspicious cases to authorities for immediate response.”
