Liverpool Prepare Bid For PSG’s Barcola

Liverpool have stepped up their interest in Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola and are preparing an opening bid as they look to strengthen their attack following Mohamed Salah’s departure.

As reported by BBC Sport on Wednesday, the France international has been identified as Liverpool’s preferred option to replace Salah, who left the club at the end of last season after a successful spell at Anfield.

Barcola, 23, is valued by PSG at around £145 million, a figure that would surpass the current British transfer record. However, Liverpool are understood to be keen on negotiating a deal closer to the £100 million mark.

The winger still has two years remaining on his contract with the French champions but is reportedly open to a move to Liverpool and a new challenge after falling down the pecking order at PSG.

Liverpool’s interest in Barcola comes as the club searches for attacking reinforcements ahead of the new season. The Reds had initially considered RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande as a target, but the player is now expected to join Real Madrid.

Barcola has established himself as one of Europe’s promising attacking talents since joining PSG, earning recognition for his pace, direct running and ability to operate across the forward line.

Liverpool are now expected to test PSG’s resolve with an opening offer as they continue their plans to reshape the squad and find a long-term successor to Salah.
