Former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, Saturday was at the Jabi Mall Silverbird Cinema to watch Marvel Studios new film “Black Panther”.
The much anticipated film which has an almost entirely black cast and a young African-American director, Ryan Coogler, has already won rave reviews for its stereotype-busting portrayal of Africa.
The former Vice President, seeing how excited other viewers were, paid for the tickets of everybody who had come to watch the film, a twitter user has claimed.

Meanwhile, Atiku’s presence at Silverbird to watch the film has sparked debate on twitter with many describing the Former VP’s appearance at the cinema as an act that shows he is a man of the people.

Another user, @Frankkyboi, said its because of election.

Another still held that, “Well, there is nothing wrong with what HE Atiku Abubakar has done. He is a Philanthropist who does not care about tribe or religion.
