Osun PDP Condemns Attack On Ataoja Of Osogbo
Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has described as despicable, alleged insult on the paramount ruler of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun Oyetunji, Larooye ll over his comment on the attack on members of PDP by members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Recalled that Oba Oyetunji had on Tuesday in his palace condemned hoodlums who allegedly attacked members of PDP on their way to pay homage on him by chieftains of the party and their governorship candidate, Senator Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke.
Addressing newsmen at the Imole House, campaign office of Senator Ademola Adeleke, in Osogbo, the caretaker committee chairman, Dr Akindele Adekunle flanked by chieftains of the party across the state condemned in totality, the brutal attack on the party members and the attendant venom of insults being poured on the monarch.
He called on security agents in the state to bring perpetrators of the attack to book, so as to forestall reoccurrence of such dastardly act.
The party also claimed that the Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola led government declined to approve the use of venues they formally sought for their mega rally slated for next week.
“As expected, our party in the state alongside the national campaign council is prepared to cap the statewide campaigns with a mega rally slated for next week. But to our dismay, the state government under the watch of Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola has declined to approve the use of venues formally sought for the rally.
“All efforts to make Alhaji Oyetola led  Government come to the realistic terms of the fact that government properties in Osun State belong to the people of the state, has fallen on deaf hears.
Adekunle who did not disclose venue for the rally has however gave assurance that rally would hold in Osogbo despite alleged plan to cow them by the ruling party.
