Aregbesola Loses Mum
The mother of Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola , Alhaja Saratu Aregbesola is dead.
Alhaja Aregbesola died in the early hours of Tuesday and was buried according to Islamic rites in her house in Ilesa, Osun State.
Prominent Nigerians from different parts of the country paid their last respect to the departed octogenarian who was popularly known as Mama Olobi during her life time.
Meantime, he Osun State House of Assembly under the leadership of Honourable Najeem Salam has commiserated with the Governor, Mr Rauf Aregbesola over the demise of his mother.
The Assembly in a statement by the Chairman, House Committee on Information and Strategy, Honourable Olatunbosun Oyintiloye describes Governor Aregbesola’s mother as a very charitable and benevolent woman who not only love his family, her God and people in her community
“Mama Olobi was a mother in a million who cares for every one that comes her way”.
Also, the Osun State Chapter of the All Progressives Party in a statement by its Chairman, Prince Adegboyega Famoodun prayed for the governor and his siblings, and member of the Aregbesola family, the courage to bear the irreparable loss,
Famoodun who submitted that life and times of Alhaja Saratu Aregbesola was a lesson in motherhood noted that mama slept satisfied for having a man with vision for Osun as son.
While the Peoples Democratic Party prayed God to grant Alhaja Saratur Al-Janat Firdaus, the party in a statement by its Chairman, Hon. Soji Adagunodo described the deceased as a woman of substance.
His words: “Alhaja Saratu Aregbesola was a very cool, calm and collected personality and a successful woman in kolanut business.”
The deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Hon. Lasun Yussuff in his condolence message to Aregbesola noted that Alhaja Aregbesola was a mother indeed.
According to a statement he personally signed, the deputy Speaker prayed Allah to grant the governor and the entire family the fortitude to bear the loss.
