Ajimobi Laid To Rest In Ibadan
The remains of the former Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, have been laid to rest in Ibadan on Sunday.
Ajimobi, aged 70, was confirmed dead at a Lagos hospital after illness relating to multiple organ failure.
He was reportedly buried in strict compliance with the COVID-19 protocols at about 10:05 am Sunday.
Though there was an earlier announcement by the family that he would be buried at 12 noon, sources told our reporter that it was a decoy to prevent his followers from trooping to the venue thereby jeopardising COVID protocols.
As at the time of filing this report, prominent Islamic Scholars are at the Ajimobi’s mosque for a sermon.
